Bahwan Cybertek wins Pan Africa Healthcare Project.

Bahwan Cybertek today announced signing a contract for implementation of Healthcare Informatics applications spanning 15 countries in the first phase for an undisclosed value. The project involves implementation at 2 University Centers, 1 Super Specialty Hospital, 1 Regional Data center and 15 nos. each of Patient End location, Learning centers & VVIP locations. In the first phase the project would hub out of Senegal and cover 15 countries including Mauritius, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Gabbon, Gambia, Benin, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana and Uganda. Over the next two phases the project would eventually cover 53 countries in Africa.

Announcing the win Raju Ramesh, Chief Operating Officer of Bahwan Cybertek said the win was significant for a number of reasons. “On the back of the large E-Governance implementations win in Egypt this gives us a footprint across the continent and helps us to scale our services delivery into this territory. This is also our first large healthcare informatics win which is an area where a large investment is envisaged by us. We would also look at some strategic acquisitions in this space in the near to medium term.”
