Ghanshyam Sharma, known to friends and colleagues as Sharma, is one of the founding members of BCT, and currently heads all CUECENT product initiatives for the Americas. Sharma has been instrumental in formulating and executing BCT's product strategy for the western markets. In his current role he manages all marketing, solution development, consulting, pre-sales, sales and support functions for Americas
Sharma has been an active promoter of entrepreneurship in the technology industry and has conducted several non-profit events, focused on helping start-ups acquire the right tools and resources for successful execution. His "Entrepreneurship Roundtable" events, regularly conducted in New York and San Francisco, have attracted some of the best technology innovators and Venture Capitalists across United States. Sharma has also several whitepapers on BPM/SOA, Web 2.0 and Technology Management to his credit and he is a regular speaker in several industry events.
In the past Sharma has acquired extensive solution architecture and product management experience, executing critical projects for prestigious clients like Fannie Mae and BEA Systems (Now Oracle). As an Enterprise Architect and Project Manager, he has not only executed several complex B2B and B2C solutions for clients across United States, but also participated in the platform engineering of WebLogic suite of products for BEA Systems including BEA WebLogic Server, BEA WebLogic portal and BEA WebLogic Integration.
Sharma holds a Masters in Computers Applications (MCA) degree from the Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and an Executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the prestigious Columbia Business School, NY. Sharma also had a stint as an associate professor at the University of Jammu, teaching post graduate courses like Compiler Designing, Artificial Intelligence, Database Management Systems and Accounting. Currently he is also engaged with several technology start-ups on multiple levels, helping them through technology and management guidance and crucial industry contacts.
